This document sets forth the Georgia Production Partnership (GPP)
Privacy Policy for this Web site. If you have any objections to the following
Privacy
Policy, you
should not access any portion of this site. This Privacy Policy does not govern
privacy
practices associated with offline activities or partner Web sites. Throughout
many areas of this site, personal information is either requested or required
in order to verify your identity and to ensure that you are a qualified GPP Member
and/or GPP Executive. The amount and type of information requested depends upon
how you use our Web site. GPP is committed to protecting your privacy and the
personally identifiable information you share with us. The purpose of this Privacy
Policy is to inform you of how we use such information. Our visitors and Members
will always be presented with an option to opt-out or UNSUBSCRIBE from further
communications from GPP. We honor our commitment to our visitors and Members,
not to share their information with any third parties other than as described
in this Privacy Policy. A more detailed explanation about how we care for your
personal information follows.
All "personal information" ("personal information" is defined as any information that identifies or can be used to identify, contact, or locate the person to whom such information pertains) that we collect and maintain will be subject to the current version of the Privacy Policy in effect. GPP reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy from time to time at its sole discretion, and will provide date of material changes on the GPP Privacy Policy page. The new policy will apply to all current and past users of our Web site and will replace any prior policies that are inconsistent. If as the result of such changes, you want to alter the ways in which GPP is allowed to use your personal information, you can do so by submitting your request in writing as outlined below. You will be deemed to have been made aware of, and will be subject to, the changes to the Privacy Policy by your continued use of the site after such notice has been posted for thirty (30) days with the following exception: if at the time you provide personal information to GPP you are given the opportunity to limit how such information will be used to communicate with you, GPP will not change your preference in this regard without your express written consent.
As a visitor to this site, you can engage in many activities without providing
any personal information. In connection with other activities, such as when you
access secure areas, subscribe to a newsletter or other communications list,
purchase an item from a GPP auction, or participate in discussion forums,
etc.,
GPP may ask you to provide certain information about yourself by filling
out and submitting an online form. It is completely optional for you to engage
in these activities. If you elect to engage in these activities, however, GPP
may ask that you provide us personal information, such as your first and last
names, mailing and billing addresses (including ZIP code), E-mail address,
telephone and fax numbers, and other personal information. When applying for
membership on
this site or purchasing an item from a GPP auction,
you may be asked to provide a credit card number. Depending upon the activity,
some of the information that we ask you to provide is identified
as mandatory and some as voluntary. If you do not provide the mandatory data
with respect to a particular activity, you may be unable to purchase items or
access certain content on our site.
Additionally, we may track the Internet domain address from which people visit
and analyze user-agent and referrer data for trends and statistics, but individual
users will remain anonymous, unless you voluntarily tell us who you are. We also
maintain a record of your online item purchases. We use the personally identifiable
information you provide for internal purposes, such as confirming and tracking
your order, subscription or membership registration, analyzing trends and statistics,
informing you of our new services, and providing you with
information
from and about GPP. To serve our Members better, we may combine information
you give us online at georgiaproduction.org and Yahoo Groups, as well as information
on purchases
made through eBay auctions.
We use that combined
information
to enhance and personalize your Internet experience with us, to
communicate with you about our services and news events that may be of interest
to you, and for other promotional purposes. We may contract with companies or
persons
(e.g., Yahoo, PayPal, eBay, FedEx, UPS, USPS, Aaron Weiler)
to
provide
certain services including credit card processing, shipping, data management,
E-mail services, etc. We call them our Service Providers. We provide our Service
Providers with the information needed for them to perform these services and
transactions.
We also make sure our Service Providers' privacy policies are consistent with
ours. Although unlikely, in certain instances we may disclose your personally
identifiable information when we have reason to believe that it is necessary
to identify, contact or bring legal action against persons or entities who may
be causing injury to you, to GPP
or to others. We may also disclose your personally identifiable information when
we believe the law requires it.
We use encryption and authentication tools to protect the security of
the personal information that you share with us. Unfortunately, however,
no data transmission
over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we
strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee or warrant the
security of any information you transmit to or from our Web sites, and you do
so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission, we will do our best to
protect its security on our systems. We urge you to keep your usernames
and passwords in a safe place and not to divulge it to anyone. Also remember
to log off your account and close your browser window when you have finished
your
visit. This is to ensure that others cannot access your account, especially if
you are sharing a computer with someone else or are using a computer in a public
place such as a library or Internet cafe.
Our site may contain links to Web sites operated and maintained by third parties,
over which we have no control. Privacy policies on such linked sites may be different
from our Privacy Policy. You access such linked sites at your own risk. You should
always read the privacy policy of a linked site before disclosing any personal
information on such site.
