Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act

The 2008 Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act grants a tax credit to qualified production and post-production expenditures. It is available not only to traditional motion picture projects such as feature films, television series, commercials and music videos, but also innovative new industries such as game development and animation.

Georgia Sales & Use
Tax Exemption

The Georgia Sales & Use Tax Exemption offers significant savings for film, video, broadcast and music production companies working in Georgia. Qualified companies can get an immediate point-of-purchase sales tax exemption that will save productions up to eight percent on most below-the-line materials and service purchases or rentals.

To learn more about how the Georgia Entertainment Industry Act and the Georgia Sales & Use Tax Exemption can make your next project an even more successful venture, contact the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office.

GPP Production Incentive Program

The Georgia Production Partnership (GPP) is a not-for-profit organization that consists of businesses and individuals that are concerned with strengthening and preserving the viability of motion picture, television, music, interactive game, and commercial production in the State of Georgia. For over 20 years, Georgia has maintained a reputation as one of the most accommodating places for film and television production. Be it our work ethic or just our Southern charm, Georgia continues to be a prime candidate as a production location.

The GPP has established a Production Incentive Program whereby Production Companies can refer to the Preferred Vendor List and take confidence that the vendors listed understand the demands of production. Production Companies spend millions of dollars every year in Georgia and local businesses have an opportunity to participate. Vendors will be listed along with any special discount programs that they are offering as a Preferred Vendor. Production Companies need to find the most accommodating source of products and services in our State quickly and easily. Many Georgia businesses enjoy the patronage of our production business. We hope you will too!
