A Production Partnership

The Georgia Production Partnership (GPP) is a not-for-profit coalition of companies and individuals who are active in the state's film, video, music, and interactive game industries. Established in 1998 as a 501(c)(6) corporation, this group's professional membership has been instrumental in the grass roots organization of the production community and the development of key legislative incentives, such as the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act and the Georgia Sales & Use Tax Exemption.

Since its humble beginnings as the Atlanta Production Partnership in 1997, the Georgia Production Partnership has grown to become the leading industry group concerned with strengthening and preserving the viability of motion picture, television, commercial, and music production in the State of Georgia. The GPP has expanded its focus beyond metro Atlanta to include film, television, and music executives from across the State. Today, the Georgia Production Partnership consists of a network of business owners, production and post-production department heads, union business agents, government representatives, freelance crew members, actors, and musicians.

The affairs of the Georgia Production Partnership and its activities function with the following purposes:
  • To provide a unified voice for the industry in Georgia
  • To attract and encourage the industry from within the state as well as encouraging projects from national and international sources
  • To create and maintain a film friendly community inside and outside the industry
  • To create an awareness of the industry to the local and national business community, including but not limited to the creation of collective marketing materials for promotion of the membership as a whole
  • To be a source of information for its members
  • To support and nurture Georgia filmmakers
  • To offer assistance and be a resource to the Georgia Film, Music & Digital Entertainment Office, its staff, and Advisory Board
The production partnership is governed under bylaws implemented by a volunteer Executive Committee. Membership in GPP is open to current active members of the production community, and members are subject to annual dues to support the organization's mission.

The Georgia Production Partnership meets the first Tuesday of every month to discuss the issues and challenges that face our production community. Through the committed participation of its members, the GPP has been successful in sustaining production industry awareness among the state's government leaders, labor organizations, businesses, and the general public. GPP is working to bring Georgia back to the forefront of U.S. production.

Be informed + involved. Your voice is important. Join us!

We look forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming GPP events.
