Success Stories

GPP has been successful in growing Georgia’s production industry.   Here are some of our credits:

GPP was instrumental in crafting and passing the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act and the Georgia Sales & Use Tax Exemption.  GPP officers and board members worked tirelessly with legislators to make this bill a reality.  The result has a total economic impact of over $ 1.3 Billion in the last year alone, in Georgia.

GPP takes seriously our responsibility to educate the next generation of film and television professionals.  Partnering with Atlanta Film Festival 365, Turner Studios and PC&E, The PA Academy is an intensive two day training course focused on entry level positions in the business.  Other workshops include Location Scouting, How to Be A Film Friendly Vendor, and introductory courses on protocol, terminology, resume building, and tools of the trade.

GPP hosts monthly members meetings that include key industry representatives and compelling speakers.  These meetings provide our membership with up-to-date information on industry trends and are so popular with members, they are usually standing-room-only.

GPP publishes a regular series of newsletters that go out to key decision-makers in business and government to advocate for and create highened awareness of our industry.

GPP sponsors a number of key film festivals throughout the state of Georgia, including The Atlanta Film Festival, The Savannah Film Festival, and the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival.

GPP hosts an annual gala event as an industry fundraiser.  Last year’s event, The Challenge, was an evening celebrating Georgia wines and Georgia caterers.  This event has become the industry event of the year.

GPP provides an active speakers bureau for community and business events.  GPP officers and members of the executive committee have appeared before diverse audiences throughout the state to reinforce our message.
