The Georgia Production Partnership (GPP) fosters the growth and sustainability of Georgia's film and television industry through advocacy, education, and community-building efforts.
MISSION & HISTORY.
Founded in the early 1990s amidst a rapidly evolving media landscape, the Georgia Production Partnership emerged as a collaborative response by a group of dedicated industry professionals who recognized the potential of Georgia to become a powerhouse in film and television production. This coalition of producers, directors, actors, and crew members, alongside business leaders and policy makers, set out with a vision to harness the state's diverse locations, talented workforce, and burgeoning creative community to attract major productions.
From its inception, GPP has been instrumental in advocating for the Georgia Entertainment Industry Investment Act, which introduced significant tax incentives, propelling Georgia into the global spotlight as a premier filming location. Over the years, GPP has expanded its reach, welcoming members from all facets of the production industry and beyond, reflecting the multifaceted nature of production that spans across traditional and digital media platforms.
As the industry continues to evolve, GPP remains committed to adapting its strategies to meet the changing needs of its members and the broader production community, ensuring that Georgia remains at the forefront of innovation and excellence in the global entertainment industry.
